We all know the future of our world is digital…so what can be more important to a student’s future than to provide them with a rich foundation in these integral thinking and problem solving skills that will be so valuable for success in his or her future world.  By making the process fun and interactive, we ensure they are immersed in their learning experience as they are exploring their creativity. Once a student understands and is able to utilized basic coding skills, the focus then shifts to implementing those skills in a more integrated and dynamic manner. This course will focus on utilizing the popular coding software, Wordpress. WordPress is a content management system that gives the user the ability to manage and update their website. It has become an essential part of the internet, powering almost a quarter of all websites. It provides incredible technical control that allows one to customize a website to their needs.  This course is a continuation from Web Design I, however any student that understands basic .html and .css will be equipped for this class.

REQUIRED MATERIALS

• Windows or Mac OS laptop with internet access

• Basic text editor such as Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac)
