Why do you fly forward when the brakes in your car are slammed?  Why does baking soda react with vinegar?  Can you build a car made only of paper? What household items are acids/bases?  Exploration into physical science and chemistry topics like these are the emphasis of this course.  Through interactive laboratory activities and explorations, the first half of the course studies topics like matter, energy, motion, forces, and waves. Then we apply that understanding to the chemistry around us: water, elements, compounds, chemical reactions, acids/bases and more.
