Girls Vocal Ensemble (High School and Middle School)

Girls Vocal Ensemble is perfect for any girl wanting to improve her individual singing voice and gain the confidence needed to sing in front of her peers. The format of the class will be a mix of group voice lessons and small ensemble singing. We will focus on beautiful, fun music written just for women’s voices. A student taking this class will also have the opportunity to expand her music reading ability through learning solfege and music theory as incorporated briefly into the lessons. Opportunities for performance will be available at the end of the semester.

 

Special Note: This class can be taken at a discounted rate ($132) for no course credit and without any homework assignments.

• Sing at First Sight, Book 1: Foundation in Choral Singing by Andy Beck (This is the blue student book.) $7.99 new, $6.09 used on Amazon (https://amzn.to/2LJucQ6)

• Pencil

• Folder or binder for music

• Internet access or ability to play CDs
