According to babble.com, “If you want a language that will open up whole continents to you, Spanish is your best bet.” It is the second most spoken language in the world, edging out English, with about 400 million native speakers. Jump into the Spanish world in Spanish I! This beginner-level high-school course will focus on pronunciation, verb conjugation, everyday phrases and vocabulary, along with some Spanish culture and basic grammar structure. Emphasis will be placed on speaking and listening/understanding, as well as some reading and writing. It’ll be a lot of fun and students will leave being able to hold a conversation in Spanish!

• Avancemos Level 1, 2007 Edition by McDougal Littell (2007 edition) ISBN 978-0618594061. Used copies starting at $10 on Amazon. Make sure the used copy's ISBN number is correct.

• Avancemos: Cuaderno, Practica por niveles, Student Edition Level 1 (2007 Edition) ISBN 978-0618782185. This workbook has to be brand new. 

• Spanish/English dictionary  Hard Copy​

• 1 1/2" binder with loose-leaf paper and dividers

• Homework folder to put inside your binder
