Prerequisite: Graphic Design I

​Graphic Design with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
Graphic Design II builds on the concepts introduced in Graphic Design I while adding image-based skills using Adobe Photoshop. Students will learn techniques for photo manipulation and explore how photography, typography, and visual effects can be combined to create dynamic work. As students discuss their work and the work of their peers, they will sharpen their critiquing skills. This course culminates in a final project where students will develop a range of design work for a fictional brand.

NOTE: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop must be installed BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS!  DON'T DELAY!

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

• MacOS or Windows laptop computer with minimum requirements: 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, and 4GB hard drive space

• Adobe Creative Cloud subscription: Student & Teacher rate is 19.99/month for the first year. 

• Mouse & mousepad

• Sketchbook (6x9 or larger, for pencil sketches)
