Acrylic Painting

We will be using acrylic paints in this class to explore different painting techniques, processes, and styles. We will paint on canvas, boards, and other surfaces to create beautiful artworks.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:

quart plastic container (like a yogurt container)

an old hand towel or rag for cleaning brushes

an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes if you want

a flat sealing plastic container to use as a palette (this can be a super fancy artist thing or it can be a
​ 9 x 13ish container your mother would put leftovers in)

4 oz. soft body acrylic Tubes in the following colors (Liquitex basics primary pack is great or you can buy colors individually, artist loft will work too. Blick, michaels, and amazon are great places to shop, or the MSU bookstore is super fun if you are very excited about art class!)

4 oz. craft acrylics in the following colors (these are the really cheap ones in the squirty bottle

a pack of nylon round brushes, maybe a #6, #8, #12

a pack of nylon square brushes maybe up to about an inch wide
-
3-5 brushes (please don’t buy the cheapest brushes, opt for fewer nicer brushes)
