Art I & II (High School)
Art I & II students will explore artists throughout history and learn about their motivation and methods. Then students will get hands on to put their own spin on the artist’s techniques. Students will sample a variety of mediums while increasing skills in drawing, painting, composition, and aesthetics. Expect to do a diverse range of projects and to produce some innovative art!
Advanced students will be able to use their projects to build a portfolio.
Spring Semester 2020: This semester we will explore shape, form, and line while creating three dimensional artworks. We will be making wire sculptures, reed and paper sculptural lights, and mobiles with inspiration from Alexander Calder. Other projects pending depending on time. Please be prepared to transport your artworks from class to home.
$45 art supply fee per semester (payable through Jupiter Ed)
